The principal investigator
A long-bearded scientist on his habitat...
Hi there! My name is Victorio Bambini Junior and I am the leader of the lab. I have been working in science for the last 15 years and I am really enthusiastic about the research we perform here.
I love to travel with my wife, to walk in the park and to brew a good coffee. You are invited to taste one at my office!
On this 1 minute long video, Victorio summarizes what they are doing on the lab lately...
Our amazing students!
We don't agree on everything, but definitely, there is no science without them... Below, our students!
My name is Iohanna Deckmann, I’m graduated in biomedicine in Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and master degree in biochemistry. My PhD will focus on blood brain barrier integrity and inflammatory components troughout development in a model of ASD.
My name is Júlio Santos Terra Machado and I recently graduated in biomedicine in Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. I started my PhD in 2018, which will focus on the migration, and functionality of gabaergic interneurons throughout development in a model of ASD.
My name is Hodan Ibrahim, I am a graduate in Biomedical Science at the University of Central Lancashire. I am undertaking an MSc by Research based on pain sensitivity in ASD by focusing on electrophysiological examination of Transient Receptor Potential Vanillanoid 1 (TRPV1), a nociceptive receptor which is aberrant in ASD.
I am Sneha Prajapati, graduate in B.Sc. Biomedical Science (Hons) at University of Central Lancashire. I am currently working in the Laboratory of Neuroimmunology and Behavioural Research. My research is focusing on understanding the transmission of information in rodents through ultrasonic vocalisation.
